What is it?
Sounds strange but identifying what the item to be framed is will be the first step to understanding what needs to be done. Is it a batik from Africa? A watercolour from a local artist ? We can advise on what is required for all types of art, memorabilia and 3D items.
Preparation.
Different types of art and objects require particular treatment. A photo will need a mount so as to not touch the glass. A canvas will need to be stretched but in a different manner to an embroidery. 3D objects will need to be stable but also removable if of value.
Manufacture.
Once the correct type of work is identified and the framing scheme has been established we can prepare the image for framing and make the frame itself.
